Tera Online Mods

Tera Online has gone overboard modifying the models in the game because of Censorship and this has been talked about on many different tera censorship articles and forum topics. I myself enjoy using the original models for armor of Elins because I recognize they are a fictional class in a mmorpg game and the original art was much better made then the censored art. You of course do not have to agree with me for this since that would be my opinion. If your interested in trying to mod your Tera Online files I have provided information below that explains how to modify different parts of the client and how to install them. I have also provided some installers which work for windows 64bit users.

Alternative splash screen: Elin Splash Screen
The splash screen pops up after the play button is clicked on the launcher.
This needs to be installed in TERA\Client\S1Game\Splash

Bunny suit Censorship Removal Patch: Bunny
This adds the original Korean model and replaces the NA model.
You will not have to replace files to use this it should be installed to TERA\Client\S1Game\CookedPC\Art_Data\Packages\_CH\_MyMod

Custom Recolors:

Custom Recolor of Swimsuits
This replaces the current swimsuits to provide a cuter remodel of the swimsuit

Comes in all colors you can use the method of not replacing files by installing it into:
TERA\Client\S1Game\CookedPC\Art_Data\Packages\_CH\_MyMod





Its recommended that you backup files in-case something goes wrong or you want to go back to the original files in-case you do not want to keep these patches for some reason. But I have not seen any problems with the patches other then one small visual error with the Elin patch. Before character creation the Elin preview looks like the body is missing but this does not effect anything inside of the character creation or in game.


Another client-side change that was made was the modification of blood effects on the screen and also on the wall and floor in the game. Part of modifying this can be done by going to TERA\Client\S1Game\Config  and changing HITDECAL_INDEX=1  to  "HITDECAL_INDEX=2".
